Welcome to the Sozo Kyle Newsletter

Thank you for subscribing to the very first Sozo Kyle newsletter.
This will be one of the main ways we stay connected as our church family grows. We’ll use this space to share updates, encouragement, upcoming gatherings, and ways you can stay involved as we continue building what God has called us to here in the Kyle/Buda area.

We are only a few weeks into planting Sozo Kyle, and we are grateful for every person who is walking with us in these early days. What God is building is special, and we believe this is just the beginning.

Our Weekly Gathering

We are becoming a family on mission advancing the Kingdom, and every gathering matters. Come worship, receive, connect, get equipped and grow with us.

A Word for Our Church — Practice Joy, Grow in Bravery

Six weeks into planting Sozo Kyle Church (the first of many apostolic hub churches we believe the Lord will establish), I sense the Lord inviting us into a new level of bravery and courage.

The other evening I was outside cooking burgers on the grill. I put the patties on, set the timer, and went back inside. When I came out to flip them, the grill was cold. The propane tank had run out.

Thankfully I had a spare tank and swapped it out — but by the time I finished cooking, the burgers were overdone. I realized I had been further along than I thought.

I felt the Lord speak to me through that moment.

Just as a continuous flow of propane is necessary to cook the food, the joy of the Lord is necessary to advance the Kingdom of God.

We often quote Joshua 1:9:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

But where do strength and courage come from?

They flow from joy.

If we want to be strong…
If we want to be courageous…
If we want to be brave…

Then we must keep the tank of joy full.

I believe there is grace on Sozo Kyle right now to grow in bravery, and the key will be learning to practice joy on purpose.

Community Groups

We are not just building a church gathering —
we are becoming a family on mission.

Community Groups are where real discipleship and connection happen.

Giving

Our generosity is a response to God’s generosity.

Under the New Covenant, stewardship is not just about giving ten percent —
it is about living faithfully with everything God entrusts to us.

We give our first and best because He gave His first and best in Jesus.

Thank You for Being Part of the Beginning

We truly believe we are in the early days of something God wants to multiply.

Thank you for praying.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for believing with us.

More is coming.
